The Sound of What Comes Next.
In the carbon‑stained valleys of South Wales, a signal has re‑emerged.
A project once dormant, now fully operational.
Three operators — Dim, G, and Nathan — engaged in the construction of post‑punk systems built for instability, tension, and recalibration.
Not nostalgia. Not revival. A forward‑moving anomaly.
Active once again after a decade in the dark, with roots in the South Wales underground via early releases on Death Monkey Records, nineplanfailed deliver angular post‑punk, theatrical grit, and a live show built on precision, unease, and controlled chaos.
Available for festivals, venues, and events seeking something sharp, atmospheric, and unmistakably alive.
Updates on our escape plan, our last atrocities, and recorded transmissions of lack and the void.

Turns out the airwaves still function. Who knew?
Our current single "Past The Sun" has been making its way through various broadcast systems, and we're genuinely grateful for the support from several key stations willing to amplify the noise.
📻 BBC Introducing with Adam Walton
On 28th February, Adam Walton played "Past The Sun" on BBC Radio Wales. The show is available to stream again via BBC Sounds. Proper radio. Proper reach. We're honoured.
A sincere thanks to Adam and the Introducing Wales team for the support.
📻 Other Voices Radio
We've been added to rotation on Other Voices Radio — a curated 24/7 online station specialising in darkwave, post-punk, synth, and dark electronics. Exactly our kind of transmission. Listen live at other-voices.com/radio.
Thanks to Fer at Other Voices for making this happen.
📻 Radio Wigwam
"Past The Sun" has been also been approved for airplay and added to rotation on Radio Wigwam. We'll be in rotation for the next few months and may feature on their indie shows. Tune in at radiowigwam.co.uk/listen-live.
Nice one, Radio Wigwam!
Three stations. One signal. Tune in...before the static consumes us all.
Thanks to everyone broadcasting, listening, and passing the transmission forward. The noise continues.

We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be performing at XSFest in Abertillery this year on Sunday 5th July.
Describing itself as “The best punk, metal, rock, blues, and alternative music festival in the world. Formerly known as Slugfest.” — XSFest continues to champion independent music and grassroots energy in South Wales. We’re proud to be part of this year’s line-up.
We’re looking forward to taking our set to a new crowd and adding our noise to what promises to be a packed weekend in Abertillery.
Join us in Abertillery!

While digging through old drives and half-forgotten folders, we came across something we thought was long gone.
Survivors is one of our earliest tracks — written from a place of hurt and anger, before time softened anything. Back then, Nathan put together a visual accompaniment using a collage of abstract and found footage. No narrative, no polish — just fragments layered to match the mood.
We’ve shared the video now exactly as it was made. No edits. No revisions. A document of where we were, and what we were carrying at the time.
Some things don’t age. They just wait.

After a decade of quiet contemplation, nineplanfailed had genuinely hoped to fade into the obscurity of the Welsh valleys, maintaining silence as a simple act of self-preservation.
It was, after all, the plan. Unfortunately, observing the sheer, spectacular quality of the world’s ongoing descent into a beautifully rendered hellscape has necessitated our immediate, and utterly reluctant, reappearance on the live scene.
We simply could not afford to miss the final act.
New material is being forged—or perhaps, more accurately, calculated - the next live transmissions are being scheduled.
You can expect our live events to be exquisitely scarce; treat every performance as a volatile, intermittent broadcast that could very easily be our last.
To the faithful who remembered the original signal (you know who you are, and we appreciate your unwavering, if slightly misguided, loyalty): Welcome back. To the undecided, the merely curious, and the digitally confused: Consider this your call to arms.
The PLAN FAILED, the world is burning, and the music is the only thing currently making sense. You are required at the next event.
Resistance is futile. Be seeing you...
Upcoming transmissions from the void:
Previous engagements have occurred. We have witnesses.
Some sounds persist, despite our best efforts. Herein lies the recorded evidence of nineplanfailed.
Moving images of static noise. Or possibly us.
More transmissions:
A brief context for promoters, press, and anyone tracing the original broadcast.
Our debut EP was originally released via Death Monkey Records — a grassroots, independent label from South Wales and part of our early history.
We're active again with new material and live shows, and we still value the people who helped launch the original signal.
